Clutch came out so nice
(if I do say so myself)

This is Laurie Clarks' pattern with a bit of a difference-instead of using one strand of black thread and one of sport weight yarn I used this:

an unlabeled (and therefore

on sale!) two strand black thread with small squares of metallic copper, shiny white and black. The other I used was the Aunt Lydia's #10 black thread shown here. I bought the one on the left many months ago and was afraid to use it. When I did finally use it, I was so very pleased with the results. If anyone out there in "internet land" knows what the name of this thread is, please post a comment for me? I would like to buy more.

DH made me these neat crochet yarn/cotton holders

He took a small wooden picnic table that he made some time back and I found part of a paint roller and a nice, shiny metal rod. He drilled the holes and attached them, voila!, I can put my yarn on one and my crochet cotton on the other. Then he took an old, wooden paper towel holder that was missing the dowel, made one of those from an old mop handle and then I had another place to put yarn for while working on a project. Like many of you I tend to work on more than one thing at a time. One of my pet peeves is that while sitting in my chair crocheting I tend to drop my yarn on the floor, now I don't. Neat, huh?

Starting an EBay business ?
So many crocheters now are selling their wares on EBay that when I ran across this I just knew I had to share it. It is the most comprehensive article on starting an EBay business that I have ever read. I know that were I to start one I would probably read this article over and over to make sure I had it all down. Good luck to all who are already in the biz and those of you just starting out!
