How my WIP (work in progress) turned out
Last week I started Berroco's pattern for
their Hudson poncho. Got done over the
weekend. Wow, I love it. As you can see mine came out way
shorter, but I really like it that way, I think it gives it a kind of
"funky" look. Lol. I plan on making another one in turquoise and will probably make it so that it comes out like the one on their website as shown on picture on left (click on link to get the free pattern) just to see if I like it. I will do a drape on myself before I get too far into it to see if I think I will like it at that length or not. There is alot of freedom to the real short sleeve on the right while working on my crochet.
For the 2006 Crochet Olympics I am going to attempt to make it in #10 crochet cotton so I have one for the summer. I just hope that I can get it done in the time allotted since working in that medium I know it won't go as fast. I may use two threads together for an interesting look and a different pattern stitch also. Two threads would make it sturdier too I think. What I would like to do is a "heather" pattern if I can find one.
